Process Technician 2nd Shift

 

   My client, located in Lenoir, North Carolina, is looking for a Process Technician (2nd Shift) to join its team. The Process Technician is responsible for the efficient and safe utilization of injection molding machines and auxiliary (including robots) equipment. Excellent benefits package included.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • RJG experience preferred
  • Plastic injection molding experience
  • Working knowledge of plastic materials, process applications, hydraulics, heat transfer, and electricity
  • Experience with assorted hand tools and precision measuring equipment
  • Competent in the understanding of the theory of Injection Molding
  • Knowledge and ability to place into production all tooling that has been released by Engineering
  • Experience with test equipment, Book-Its, Playbooks, PERT charts, computers, Two-Horse Race Forms and PLC’s

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performing functions related to the proper setup of existing molds, machines, cycles, and other equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate process sampling
  • Provide the efficient, safe utilization of molding machines, auxiliaries, and the Operator’s workstation.
  • Perform mold changes expeditiously, providing cycles at standard or better at acceptable quality levels.
  • Check each safety feature of the process.
  • Instruct and familiarize other employees with the setup and safe overall operation of all molding equipment and tooling.
  • Maintain adequate documentation of all setups and malfunctions, thus providing opportunities for improvement for the respective systems.
  • Diagnose and correct molding problems, recognize machinery malfunctions.
  • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping practices throughout the department.
  • Participate in the Book-It (identifying root cause) and sample new tooling and materials.
  • Recommend and analyze statistical improvements to tooling and equipment.
